About Us
The Meridian Food Bank was created to serve the people in our community that are facing the challenge of not having enough food for themselves and their families. In 2022, we distributed over 1.1 million pounds of food to help more than 12,800 households in need throughout the Treasure Valley.
The Meridian Food Bank specifically addresses the issue of food insecurity by supplying food pantry and weekly school backpack food services. We are committed to reducing hunger and to creating healthy families by distributing food to unemployed, underemployed, seniors, children, homeless, and struggling individuals. We value each person who comes through our door, and we want to help everyone achieve the best possible quality of life in our community.
The Meridian Food Bank is a non-profit, 501 c 3 status organization, operated entirely by volunteers. All of your monetary donations go to supporting our mission of supplying food to our patrons.
The Meridian Food Bank is a partner agency with the Idaho Food Bank and frequently receives food from it for our clients. However, we function as an independent organization, 100% volunteer-based with no paid positions.
